How A Parent Can Help

If there is ever a group of people that needs to be protected from the criminal justice system, it is our youth. They often feel invincible and immortal and act in ways that can seriously jeopardize their future. A small act of rebellion can possibly lead to a label such as criminal, addict, alcoholic or sexual predator. Things we did in high school for a laugh now carry life-long consequences.

Young adults need protection. They think they know the ways of the world, but, are in fact, naïve to the justice system. When they get in trouble, they have a tendency to do something reckless to "get it over with." In criminal court, I often see young adults enter guilty pleas or no contest pleas without fully understanding the ramifications of their statements.

When a youth is charged with criminal conduct, he/she needs professional guidance. I will put every effort in getting your son or daughter that second chance. I will not hesitate to ask a prosecutor, police or a judge for a break when this one act can jeopardize his or her future.
I am sure you are concerned about doing all you can to protect your child. In the legal arena, where you cannot protect them, I can and will.

If your son or daughter is a student, there may be consequences at school, even if the case is won in court. I am quite comfortable dealing with school disciplinary boards. I will be at your child's side, from beginning to end.

Do not hesitate to contact me as often as you need to discuss your son or daughter's case. As a parent, you will have access to me 24/7. I will be fully prepared to defend your child.
